Srpski QWERTZ raspored i Mac

New CakePHP plugin: Cacher

I’ve just released the Cacher CakePHP plugin to the world. It enables transparent caching of all the database queries that use Model::find() so there’s no need to manually check for cached results in the controller, just use find() as you would normally and the plugin takes care of the rest.

ImageEditor plugin update

I’ve just noticed that Ian added two new methods to the PHPThumb library so I’ve updated the library and the docs of my ImageEditor CakePHP plugin to reflect that.

From now on, you can use these two additional methods:

  • adaptiveResizePercent ($width, $height, $percent = 50) and
  • adaptiveResizeQuadrant ($width, $height, $quadrant = ‘C’)

Configurator plugin for CakePHP

I’ve searched the net for anything related to Facebook and CakePHP and ran into a  CakePHP plugin called Configuration by Nick Baker and after a 2 minute code review decided that I didn’t like some aspect of it but liked the general idea and decided to write my own. Well, a few hours later here it is: Configurator CakePHP plugin. It turns out it’s almost completely the same as Nick’s.

P.S. Check Nick’s CakePHP Facebook Plugin, the one that led me to this.
